Guiding Through Glaciers
Inspired by Ice Caves

I was born and raised in Höfn, on Iceland’s southeast coast, and I still live here with my wife, Fanney, and our two children.

For more than a decade, I have guided visitors on glaciers, into ice caves and through the landscapes around Vatnajökull. This area is my home, and I know how quickly the weather, light and glacier conditions can change.

Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked as a teacher and football coach for many years. That background has shaped the way I guide: clear communication, patience and a strong focus on safety.

My goal is to help you experience southeast Iceland with someone who knows the region well — whether you are here for photography, glaciers, ice caves or a private local tour.

I live in a beautiful home with my wife, Fanney, and our two children, Ragnar Sveinn and Héðinn. As a family, we cherish spending time together, whether at home or exploring new places.

In the summer, we enjoy travelling across Iceland and exploring different landscapes and places. In the winter, we like to travel abroad, often doing home swaps to experience life in different locations while sharing our own.
We try to stay active by playing sports like football, basketball, skiing, running, and hiking and going on walks in nature close to home. Being outdoors and staying on the move are things we all love.

Travelling and exploring together has given us many great memories, and we’re always excited to see what new adventures lie ahead.
